eBooks for Kindle: iOS Privacy Policy Effective date: 14 October 2026 Operator: HYM Contact: webhym@gmail.com This policy covers the eBooks for Kindle app for iPhone and iPad (com.cloudwapp.free-eBooks) and its privacy-policy page. It covers the existing 2.9.3 book-discovery version and version 3.0, which adds native audiobook features. Audiobook, download and migration descriptions below apply where those version 3.0 features are available. The app does not require an HYM account and does not collect payment-card information for purchases made on external websites. Information stored on your device Favorites, recently viewed books, selected marketplace/categories and view preferences are stored on your device. Version 3.0 also stores listening history and positions, playback preferences, appearance settings, catalog caches and downloaded audiobooks in the app's private storage. HYM does not provide an account-based service that uploads or synchronizes this library. Search phrases are matched on your device; the app does not send the typed phrase to its content API. When upgrading to version 3.0, the app may read recognized preferences from its own previous storage to preserve your library. Recovery copies can remain locally. Your iOS backup settings may affect local app data. The app marks its downloaded-audio directory for exclusion from iOS backups. This does not exclude all preferences or recovery data, and does not remove older backups. Content requests and operational information Online features contact HYM's content services hosted on Vercel, cover-image hosts, and audiobook sources such as Internet Archive and LibriVox. Requests identify the content needed, such as marketplace, category, page or book/chapter identifier. These services receive normal connection information such as IP address, request time, user agent and resource requested. Content requests can therefore reveal which resource you accessed, even though your saved library and listening-position records are not uploaded as a library profile. The older 2.9.3 interface also requests fonts from Google's font servers, which receive connection information needed to deliver those files. Version 3.0 bundles its interface fonts with the app. HYM's content service records operational information, including requested marketplace/category/page and limited book-identifier/error details, to provide content and diagnose failures. Hosting providers also process request and security logs. These records can remain associated with connection information; they are not described as anonymous. Retention depends on the service's operational needs, provider configuration and applicable obligations. Contact HYM about information held in its operational or support records. The audio Offline only option uses saved audio and prevents unsaved audio playback. It does not disable every network feature in the app, such as book information, images, advertising or opening a website. Advertising and privacy choices The app uses Google AdMob and Google's User Messaging Platform. These services can process device identifiers, IP-derived approximate location, advertising and app-interaction information, and crash, performance and other diagnostic information. Their purposes include advertising, measurement/analytics, consent management and service operation. Depending on consent and permissions, identifiers and advertising information may be used for tracking across companies' apps and websites. The app does not request precise GPS location. The app checks Google's consent status before requesting ads and presents applicable privacy messages. Where required, Privacy settings in the app menu lets you review your choices. iOS may separately ask for App Tracking Transparency permission. You can decline that permission and use the app's core features. Declining personalized advertising or tracking does not mean all technical processing stops; contextual or limited ads may still be available. You can also review tracking permission in iOS Settings. Google explains its processing and controls here: https://policies.google.com/privacy https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites Other websites and this policy page Amazon and other links open external services, which apply their own privacy policies. HYM does not receive your payment details from those transactions. This app is independent of Amazon. This policy page is hosted with Firebase Hosting. Hosting processes visitors' IP addresses for operation, abuse prevention and usage analysis; Firebase documents retention of Hosting IP data for a few months. Hosting a page on Firebase does not mean the iOS app uses Firebase Analytics. https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy Vercel's information about hosting and operational logs is available here: https://vercel.com/legal/privacy-notice https://vercel.com/docs/logs/runtime Retention, deletion and contact You can remove favorites and downloaded audio through the app. Removing an item from a visible list may leave other local history, cache or migration-recovery records. Using Delete App in iOS removes its local app container; Offload App may retain data, and device backups are managed separately by iOS. Deleting the app does not automatically delete provider logs or emails you previously sent. If you email HYM, HYM receives the address, message and attachments you choose to send to respond to you and handle the request. Support correspondence and operational records are retained for the relevant support, security or legal purpose; the app has no remote library account to delete. Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal information, restrict or object to certain processing, or withdraw consent. Contact webhym@gmail.com. For data controlled independently by Google or a content provider, its privacy controls also apply. The app uses HTTPS for its content requests and iOS private storage for local records. Providers may process information in countries other than your own under their applicable privacy and data-protection terms. No storage or transmission method is completely secure. The app is not designed specifically for children; its book catalog and ads may include material unsuitable for children. It does not ask children to create an account. Please contact HYM if a child has sent personal information to HYM. HYM may update this policy as the app or services change. The effective date above identifies this version.
